All of these models incorporate subtle cosmetic touches and equipment upgrades. Additionally, each Columbia Edition Jeep comes with a complimentary Columbia parka.

  • Powerful 4.7-liter V8, all-terrain capability, roomy comfort for four.
Cons:
  • Noisy and unrefined, questionable reliability, trucklike on-road handling.

  • LOVE THE OVERLAND - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee

TRADED A MERCEDES ML320 FOR THE JEEP OVERLAND. OVERLAND MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE & POWERFUL & BUILT WITH GREATER LUXURY IN MIND. LOTS OF "BANG FOR THE BUCK." MANY MORE OPTIONS AVAILBLE AT MORE THAN $15,000 LESS THAN MERCEDES ML500 WHICH IS COMPARABLE IN POWER BUT NOT NEARLY AS LUXURIOUS. HAD ONE PROBLEM WITH WARPED BRAKE ROTOR FIXED QUICKLY UNDER WARRANTY.

  • Great Truck - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Purchased my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee used w/approx 47,000 miles on it & traded it in 3 1/2 later with approx 84,000 miles on it. I put new Firestone Destination tires on it & got it aligned right after purchase. Got new rear brakes @ approx 70,000 miles & replaced front & rear shocks @ 74,500 miles. Aside above I have only done regular service checks. The truck has been great & reliable (drove it from NY to CA) experience. It is much more comfortable than Id ever expected, even after 14 hours of driving. By now, anyone buying a V8 Jeep should know about its 15 mpg gas mileage, quit complaining thats not why you buy a Jeep & same with the brakes. Not the best, but they stop you.

I feel safe and protected in this SUV. It has an air leak sound when the heating sysem is in use, which is irritating and aparently normal. The mileage is bad...16 to 17 mpg. The grand cherokee is not as sporty looking as the limited. I recommend the Enumclaw delarship. The side to side motion does not feel as stable as the 2000 which I owned previously.

  • cool looks, but noisy! - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I love my Jeep Grand Cherokee. it is reliable and comfortable with great looks. I only have a problem with the build quality. The Jeep is only three years old, and the brakes squeal quite a bit. Also, the seals around the second row windows are already coming loose (even though I always park in the garage) resulting in a whistling noise on the highway.

  • Best Jeep Yet - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Just traded in my 00 Grand Cherokee Laredo for the 04 Overland. Its hard to find another SUV that combines all the features and extras of the Overland for such a good price. The engine is strong although quite thristy...what do you expect from a V8? The seats are much improved from my old Laredo. The off-road performance is great. Already used the new quadra-drive system to pull my buddies explorer out of the mud!

  • Huge Number of Features - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee

This is my first Jeep product, it was a replacement for a 2000 Toyota Landcruiser. They pack a large number of features in for a reasonable price and the dealers are happy to make deals. My dealer went to Houston to get the one I wanted. Big selling features for me were memory seats and adjustable pedals since two of us drive (LandCruiser didnt have these things for $20k more!) Acceleration and power are excellent and much better than my LandCruiser. Gas mileage is what youd expect (bad). Defects at delivery were minimal and fixed easily at the showroom. No problems of any kind since delivery. It just runs.

  • Finally got my SUV - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I got the 2004 limited 4.7L 8 cyl The dealer has been great. I was alittle disappointed with the realiability of my vehicle during delivery the engine light came on and has to be taken back to dealer. They were great drove it and said all looked good. I then drove it for 3 days . As I was driving lost total power and suv wouldnt move. It felt like the transmission. This is new how can this be. I shut off engine re- started and headed to a local dealer to find out it was a bad transmission switch. I am hoping this is all or I will be very sad. I truly love my SUV.

  • Very good - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I have not had any mechanical issues with this vehicle in a year and a half. My only real issue is fit/comfort. I am over 6 feet tall and athletic build and I find that on long trips (1hr or more) my right leg starts to fall asleep. Ive tried many different positions and cannot find a good one. I dont feel the seat is wide enough nor does the seat go back far enough for taller drivers.

with $3K off the MSRP and another $3.5K off from incentives and a decent rate of 5.20% through Chrysler made this purchase a no-brainer - very worried I was making a mistake, but could not have been happier with the purchase - no other SUV with Leather, sun-roof, and inline 6 could be gotten for this price. And I got the 5/60K warranty for an extra $800.00
